1957 Antique Miley

Miley 2 Horse Bumper Pull Trailer - $800 (CA)
I am offering my older 1957 2 Horse Miley Bumper Pull trailer for sale. For an older trailer it's in great condition. The tires are in great condition with about 80% + tread left on them. It has a swivel partitian bar that can be moved side to side or even removed if needed. The flooring is in great condition, when I purchased this trailer 3 years ago they had just replaced the wood boards and the rubber matting and I have used this trailer less than 10x in the past 3 years. There is also a low step up making it easy for horses to load. This trailer also has an escape door and 2 small side windows to have easy access to snap the horses in. The electrical all works, it has a 4 prong adapter. There are permanent tags on this trailer. This trailer has hauled horses as big as 15.3hh and could possibly fit larger horses considering that they trailer well. The dimensions of the trailer are 6' tall, 6.5' long inside, 4.5-5' wide. This trailer is light enough to be hauled by a V6 SUV or Truck no problem. This is a single axle trailer and is such an easy haul. There is a tack storage compartment located below the feeders in the front of the trailer, where a fairly new spare tire is kept.

I am asking $800 cash firm. I have the pink slip in hand and the trailer is clean and ready to go. Email if interested in coming down to see it. Thank You for viewing this ad

I have noticed that older horse trailers are VERY small.  But the cars at the time were HUGE!

Vintage 1947

Vintage Thoroughbred Horse Trailer - $800 (WA)
Price reduced on this 1947 Brown Industries nice aluminum ramp load trailer with single axle. Extra tall for your thoroughbred or can be used for any purpose. Excellent condition for it's age, has an escape door thru the front, and storage underneath the mangers. All the lights work perfectly. Needs tabs.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tabs?  Does that mean a license plate?  Or an inspection?  Or what?
This is a nice looking trailer - especially for a 1947.  It's 62 yrs old - ready to retire!
+++++++++++++++++++++++++
Nov 7 update:
I found this same trailer on another site and it was at $1500 - quite a reduction down to $800!!  More pictures too. Looks 'space age.'
Did they get the fenders from a 1947 Dodge and just put them on backwards?  They both have the 4 raised 'stripes'
It's a Cylon!
This horse trailer was left behind when my Dad divorced this Spring. I don't know anything about horse trailers so I've tried to take very detailed pictures. I can only post 4 here so if you're interested and would like to see more, please email me. I do know that the floor board and pad was replaced last winter and has not been used since it was replaced. The plates are expired. The electrical is in good working condition, I have tested it myself. The hitch is in good condition. The tires are also in good working condition. I believe this will hold up to 2 horses, but am not 100% sure. The front of the trailer has a small space that houses a spare tire (which is also in good condition) as well as additional space for horse stuff, I assume. I've also been told that this is a bumper pull trailer. The inside dimensions are 58" wide X 108" long (there is a counter in front that holds food dish that is 35" long) I also have a bunch of other horse 'accessories' I'll throw in for free... Show Sheen, watering device, saddle sore lotion, some toy balls, brushes, harness, etc... all in good condition. I'm not sure what else I should say other than we're very interested in getting rid of this and are asking $950 but would consider other offers.
This guy might not know horses or horse trailers, but he sure did put lots more useful information than most people who try to sell trailers.
Interesting Yard Ornament
1942 with title horse trailer, restore or use as yard display
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

 Now this is a cool trailer!! Granted, I would not put my horses in it, but it is very interesting. Kinda looks like it's part submarine!
.
This trailer is 67 years old and they have a title to it. Amazing - I wonder what it would take to pass a state inspection?
.
Yard display - I have to think on that. What theme would it fit in? Doesn't look western, really doesn't fit the 'farm equipment' theme. Not highbrow enough for the buggy/wagon theme. What do you think?
.
I think it probably belongs restored in a horse museum.

Oldie, but goodie??? 55 years and still going

I am currently in the market for a 'new' horse trailer. Along the way I have encountered many interesting finds. This older trailer is one of them. As I look at the trailer, I am amazed that a horse would even go into it. It has only one window - a small one at that. The louvered window on the front may provide some light. The escape door is quite tiny and the overall trailer appears to be quite narrow. But something tells me that this was a Cadillac in its day. Is that an air intake above the louvers?

Update on Sept 8:  The trailer has been reduced in price from $1,500 to $1,200 and is now at $1,000.
